Pell He entered Trinity College at age 13 and received an A.B. degree in 1630 and later a D.D. degree. He was elected professor of mathematics at Amsterdam and Breda. Under Cromwell he was Minister Resident in Switzerland (1654-1658). After Charles II became king, he was appointed Domestic Chaplain to the Archbishop of Canterbury, and in 1663, elected Fellow of the Royal Society. He had one son and four daughters. Reference: 4162.
